As their names imply, these features are related in that the first two use the third. Most browsers keep a list of which pages you visit, and the order in which you visit them. This list of pages is usually referred to as the "history list." Anytime you want to return to a page that you have previously viewed (since last opening the browser program-unlike bookmarks, the history list may not persist between uses!), you can look at the history list and simply select (by clicking) any of the pages listed therein. Clicking on the "Back" button takes you to the page you visited immediately before the page you are currently viewing, and clicking the "Forward" button opens the page (if one exists) that you visited after first visiting the current page.
