How
- Choose MS DOS Prompt from Start/Programs.
- Type cd .. to get into the appropriate directory.
- Create a directory on the C: drive to work from
(This can be done from Windows 95 by selecting My Computer/New Folder).
- Move to the new directory by typing: cd "dirname"
- To begin writing your program type: edit "filename"
JDK is free. It comes with "Teach Yourself Java in 21 Days" text book on
CD-ROM, or can be downloaded from
Javasoft.
