	Gaussian curvature:  understand now for smooth surfaces, 
		still cannot reconcile defs for surfaces with creases
	New, sharp problem to work on:
		When straight boundary of racetrack is glued to straight,
		must it be that the curve is a straight segment in 3D,
		i.e., it cannot be bent?
		Seems definitely YES, but no proof yet.
