The CS department is organizing a trip to go to a 12PM showing of the Oscar-nominated movie, “Hidden Figures,” this Saturday, January 28th at the Cinemark in Hadley, on Route 9.
We will be taking the PVTA to the movie theater, and tickets are free for the first 38 Smithies [ >> more ]

Smith Teams Win Prizes at HackHolyoke
Congratulations to all the Smith students who won prizes at the Hack Holyoke (http://www.hackholyoke.com/) competition! Sarah Abowitz, Juliane Donahue-Bombosch, and Minyue Dai won the prize for Most Innovative with their team’s entry. Meanwhile the team of Ariana Meredith, Anjali Desai, Perla Garcia, and Michelle Wong won the #HackHarassment prize. Well done all!

Two events at Umass were recommended to Smith CS majors by Beth Andres-Beck, Class of 05. Beth’s father, who works at Facebook, will be visiting the UMass CS department and will give a talk (12:30-1:30 p.m.) and then attend a Facebook recruiting event targetting internships & jobs (5-7 p.m.)
